Car Rental Terms and Conditions

As Bodrum Car Rental, we adopt the principle of providing transparent, reliable, and legally compliant service to our guests at every stage of the car rental process. The rental conditions stated below apply to all car rental transactions carried out through our website, call center, and offices.

Age and Driving License Requirements

The minimum age and driving license requirements according to vehicle segments are stated below:

Age Limit

  • Economy Group: Minimum 23 years old

  • Mid Group: Minimum 23 years old

  • Upper & Luxury Group: Minimum 25 years old

Driving License Duration

  • Economy & Mid Group: Minimum 3 years

  • Upper & Luxury Group: Minimum 5 years

At the time of vehicle delivery, it is mandatory to present a valid driving license and a credit card issued in the name of the renter.

Foreign guests are required to present their passport and a document showing that their entry date into Türkiye is less than 6 months ago. Foreign driving license holders who have been in Türkiye for more than 6 months are required to present a Turkish driving license.

If the specified conditions are not met, the vehicle will not be delivered even if a reservation has been made.

Credit Card and Deposit

For car rental transactions, a credit card registered in the renter’s name and open for online use is required. Depending on the vehicle group, a pre-authorization (deposit) may be taken from your credit card. If there are no issues at the end of the rental period, this amount will be automatically released.

On-Site Payment, Reservation, and Cancellation Conditions

  • Reservations can be canceled free of charge.

  • To confirm the reservation, payment may be requested 24 hours before the rental date.

  • If payment is not made, the reservation may be canceled.

Services Included in the Prices

All prices listed on our website include the following services:

  • VAT

  • Specified mileage allowance

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

CDW covers damages resulting from collisions. Tire, glass, headlight, and parking damages are excluded from this coverage.

Situations Where Insurance Is Invalid

In the following cases, all insurance coverage becomes invalid, and all damages are the responsibility of the renter:

  • Use of the vehicle by a person other than the one specified in the contract

  • Use contrary to traffic rules

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Use of incorrect fuel

  • Use of the vehicle for purposes other than intended or with unsuitable loads

  • Failure to report an accident or theft in a timely manner

  • Failure to obtain required traffic and alcohol reports

  • Failure to return the vehicle key

  • Late return of the vehicle without prior approval

Extra Services Not Included in the Prices

  • Zero Excess Insurance (Full / Top Cover)

  • Theft Protection

  • Third Party Liability Insurance

  • One-way rental fee

  • HGS toll charges and service fees

  • Additional mileage package

  • Additional driver (charged daily)

  • Baby / child seat

  • Contract changes and operational extras

Mileage and Rental Period Usage

  • A daily mileage limit of 200 km may apply.

  • The rental period is calculated on a 24-hour basis.

  • For late returns, a fee of up to 30% of the daily rental price may be charged for each additional hour.

Reservation and Contract Conditions

All reservations made through our website are deemed to be accepted together with the Car Rental Terms, Pricing Conditions, and Website Terms of Use.

Reservation confirmation is sent via email. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep the confirmation details. In case of typing errors or system discrepancies, BodrumCarRentals.com records shall prevail.

When deemed necessary, an equivalent vehicle may be allocated for confirmed reservations, or the vehicle delivery may be canceled. In such cases, the collected amount will be refunded.

Final Provisions

bodrumcarrentals.com reserves the right to cancel vehicle delivery, even in the case of a confirmed reservation, due to mechanical failure, accident, force majeure, or operational requirements. For detailed information, you may contact our customer service.

Yes, when your plane lands, our team will meet you by name at the domestic or international arrivals exit. We save you the trouble of waiting in line at the office by quickly delivering your car to you in the airport parking lot.

To ensure safe driving practices, we require all our vehicle models to have a minimum age of 23 and a valid driver's license for at least three years.

Yes, all prices you see on our website include Theft Insurance and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). We offer transparent pricing and do not add extra insurance fees later.

While credit cards are generally mandatory in the industry, we offer customer-focused solutions. If you do not have a credit card, please indicate this in the "Additional Notes" section of the booking form. Our team will contact you and, depending on availability, assist you in renting with a cash deposit option.

Yes, we have an extensive delivery network. You can select Izmir, Dalaman, or other cities using the "Pickup Point" and "Drop-off Point" options in the booking panel on our website's homepage and complete your one-way reservation online.

As a security procedure, a temporary deposit, varying depending on the vehicle group, is applied at the start of the rental. After the vehicle is returned, this amount will be checked and refunded to your bank as soon as possible.

Our service operates on a "Return it as you found it" system. Simply return the vehicle with the same fuel tank level as when you received it; this way, you won't pay for any fuel you didn't use.

Yes, we offer vehicle delivery not only to the airport but also to Bodrum center, Bitez, Yalıkavak, Türkbükü, and all marinas. Simply specify your location during booking.

All our vehicles undergo a thorough disinfection process with professional cleaning products after each rental. Due to our hygiene standards, we deliver the vehicle to each new guest in a sterile condition. However, if the vehicle is returned unusually (excessively) dirty or if smoking/tobacco use has occurred inside the vehicle, a "Detailed Cleaning/Ozone Cleaning" fee will be charged to the renter to ensure we can provide the same hygiene standards to our next customer. Thank you for your understanding of this rule, which allows us to provide you with a spotless vehicle.

For our guests traveling as a family, we offer baby seats and booster seats. We can also add a second person as an "additional driver" to the contract free of charge or for a small fee, provided they present their driver's license.

The mileage limits applied to our vehicle groups may vary depending on the rental period and the selected vehicle segment. We are here for you every moment with our 24/7 active roadside assistance hotline. In case of an accident, you should not move the vehicle, have a police report drawn up, and inform us immediately. We provide replacement vehicle support if needed.

All vehicles in our fleet are equipped with HGS (Highway Toll System) tags. All highway, bridge, or tunnel tolls incurred during the rental period will be calculated and collected at the end of the rental period.

Finding a car in Bodrum, especially during July and August, can be quite difficult. By booking early, you can both secure your desired model and avoid price increases during the peak season.

All our vehicles are serviced at authorized service centers, and their periodic maintenance and tire checks are carried out without fail. All you have to do is enjoy a safe and pleasant driving experience.

Due to insurance coverage and international departure procedures, our rental cars are not permitted to be taken out of the country by ferry.

If you inform us at least 24 hours before your rental period ends, we can easily extend your rental period if the vehicle is available for subsequent bookings.

Traffic fines incurred during your rental period are the responsibility of the driver. Once we receive information about the fines, we will inform you and manage the process to help you benefit from legal discounts.

For Bodrum's narrow streets and limited parking spaces, we recommend our economical/hatchback models; for comfortable long-distance trips or village excursions, we suggest our high-ground clearance SUV models.

To protect our customers' rights and prevent potential staff errors, we implement a highly transparent system. When you pick up your vehicle, our field representative records a detailed delivery video showing the vehicle's current condition. This video is immediately sent to both you and our headquarters. Even if you return the vehicle to a different representative, our staff will use this video recording to conduct their checks. This ensures a professional rental experience based on mutual trust, leaving no room for doubt.

Our vehicles are protected by comprehensive rent a car (rental vehicle) insurance. However, in accordance with general insurance terms and legal regulations, there are certain exceptional cases in which the insurance becomes completely invalid, and all material and moral liability is transferred to the renter. These situations are detailed below:

• Lack of Traffic and Alcohol Reports: Leaving the scene of an accident, failing to obtain a police or gendarmerie report, or not obtaining an alcohol report within a maximum of 24 hours. (In the case of a two-party accident, failure to obtain the other party’s documents—vehicle registration, driver’s license, and insurance policy—will also invalidate the insurance.)

• Alcohol and Substance Use: Driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol above the legal limit or under the influence of drugs.

• Unauthorized Use: Any damage occurring when the vehicle is driven by persons not named in the rental agreement and not registered as an “Additional Driver.”

• Gross Negligence and Legal Violations: Running a red light, driving in the wrong direction, carrying passengers or cargo beyond the vehicle’s load capacity, or using the vehicle for off-road (off the road/unpaved roads) or racing purposes.

• Speed Limit Violation: If the accident report states that the accident occurred due to excessive speed.

• Mechanical Damages Caused by User Error:

Damage caused by hitting or scraping the underside of the vehicle (oil pan, exhaust, mechanical components).

Continuing to drive on the rim after a tire blowout, causing damage to the suspension or drivetrain.

Continuing to drive despite warning lights (oil pressure, overheating, etc.) being on, resulting in engine damage.

Filling the vehicle with the wrong type of fuel.

• Negligence and Security Lapses: Theft resulting from leaving the doors unlocked or windows open; theft of the vehicle due to leaving the key inside or on the vehicle.

• Clutch and Brake Misuse: Clutch disc and transmission failures caused by harsh use or incorrect gear changes.

• Natural Disasters and Terrorism: Unless otherwise stated in the insurance policy, damages arising from failure to comply with instructions of authorized authorities during extraordinary situations.
